HAVE YOU READ THE US CONSTITUTION???
If you missed US History I... or have not picked up a copy (a small 38-page booklet), please do so. Every US office holder - local, county, state, or federal - plus all of the military, police, and just plain citizens taking the Oath of Citizenship - swears allegiance to the United States of America - and to the US Constitution. Adopted in 1789 and ratified by the States as required, the Constitution was amended several times. Post-Civil War in 1865, the 14th Amendment was adopted in July of 1868. This element has not been repealed or modified. Clause 3 of Amendment 14 is very clear and was aimed at those who held office - US, State, or local - of any type - civilian or military. Any persons who held office - then or now - and through their behaviors and/or actions, ignored, abandoned, or broke their "solemn oath to support the Constitution" were and are excluded from holding office or resuming the office that they held when they turned to insurrection, sedition, or rebellion and abandoned their Oath. Sound familiar? during Lincoln's term, those in rebellion were "forgiven" but, having broken their Oath, were removed from any office occupied at the point of insurrection. Sound clear? READ BELOW.....
PS: Should sorrow and repentance become acceptable, a 2/3 majority of both Houses of Congress "remove such disability" if they choose to do so. Such "forgiveness" of a treasonous act has not ever taken place to date.... unless those charged and convicted for insurrection and sedition in the riots that took place on January 6, 2021 are "forgiven" by a clear bi-partisan vote in the Congress. What do YOU think would be the outcome???
